Etsy alternatives for jewelers

Updated September 2026

Jewelers leave Etsy over stacked fees, mandatory Offsite Ads and a market tuned to gifts under $500 (the full bill is itemized in what Etsy actually takes). The question that should sort any alternative is what it takes from a sale and whether the buyer can find their way back to you afterwards. Seven are worth your time.

Your own website

The full sale minus about 3% card fees, your checkout, your customer list. What changes most is that traffic becomes your job: search rankings compound slowly and ads cost real money, which is why the rest of this list exists.

1000 Jewellers

Ours. $49 a month flat with zero commission, and inquiries land in your email instead of a platform inbox. You get a verified, indexed page for your bench plus an open board of commissions looking for a maker. What changes: you quote the job, take the deposit and run the sale yourself.

Finematter

Curated fine jewelry with commission from around 5% plus 3% processing on collection pieces and what they call tailored rates on bespoke. They run checkout and returns and pay out at the end of the month after the returns window closes. What changes: far lower fees than Etsy at fine-jewelry prices, while the transaction still lives with the platform. The full comparison is in 1000 Jewellers vs Finematter.

TikTok Shop

The lowest marketplace take here at 5 to 6% on US jewelry by subcategory. What changes: video does the discovery, and you will likely share another 10 to 20% with creators to get it moving.

Amazon Handmade

A flat 15% with an application to get in. What changes: Prime-scale reach for production lines. For one-off pieces it has nothing to offer.

1stDibs

Reported plans of $99 to $550 a month plus 17 to 23% commission on your first $25,000, broken down in 1000 Jewellers vs 1stDibs. What changes: a collector audience with real budgets, if your work reads as gallery, signed or estate.

Wolf & Badger

Around $150 a month plus a commission sellers report near a third of each sale. What changes: genuine curation and physical stores carry your brand, and the take is the steepest on this list.

When to keep the Etsy shop

Etsy still wins on raw traffic and it collects and remits US sales tax for you, which nothing else here fully takes off your plate. The usual move is keeping it for gift-priced work while a channel with better margins grows beside it. None of these ask for exclusivity.
